Installing Windows on a drive with ExpressCache is difficult because Windows always wants to be in the first partition of the harddrive.
When we tried this the installation always succeded but after the Post-Screen where Windows should start to boot the computer always made a full reboot.
- Format the ExpressCache partition with a format that Windows cannot read. This could be ext3 or ext4 (you could use Linux on a stick to do this)
- Install Windows on the main partition (the bigger one)
- Install the software for the ExpressCache
This should work because Windows can’t read the partition with the non-windows-readable format so it is forced to install everything on the right one.
Install Windows using a DVD.
Hope this helps 🙂
